The National Model Railroad Association with a goal to leave a model railroading legacy, commissioned this exhibit at the Sacramento Railroad Museum. Using the services of The Sibbett Group design firm and Gizmo Art Production for fabrication and installation. The NMRA and Sibbett Group did an excellent job of capturing the story and history of model railroads.
Working on the Gizmo Team, I served as an installer and an extra pair of hands. It was a pleasure to participate in the installation process. The majority of my time was working on installing the electrical components of the exhibits.
This exhibit demonstrates how modelers would construct a model railroad layout, I installed the interactive feature using a timer relay to run a model train around the track intermittingly.
I was tasked to install train artifacts throughout the exhibit. ( I broke my first artifact I have not been that disappointed in myself since I was a small child.)
